Phat Noodles is a small, casual Asian restaurant tucked into Compton’s bustling E Compton Blvd strip. It draws in locals looking for a comforting, no-frills noodle experience with a focus on Vietnamese and Thai flavors. The place has a modest footprint, which means it’s best suited for quick sit-down meals or takeout, but the attentive, friendly staff help keep the vibe welcoming without feeling cramped.

The menu centers around noodle soups and dry noodle dishes, with standout options like the Phnom Penh Dry Noodle and Combo Noodle Soup making frequent appearances on regulars’ orders. Beyond pho, you’ll find items like shrimp pad thai and spicy wontons that bring a little variety to the bowl. Drinks such as coconut Thai iced tea and Asian iced coffee offer a refreshing contrast, especially on warm afternoons.

Visitors often note the service as patient and genuine, with staff checking in without hovering—useful for newcomers navigating an extensive noodle menu. The atmosphere is pretty straightforward: clean and functional, but not designed for lingering long. That said, it’s the flavors and the dependable quality of the dishes that keep people coming back more than the surroundings.

Phat Noodles fits well into the daily rhythm of local diners and workers grabbing a quick, satisfying meal. The best times to visit are midday or early evening when the kitchen is buzzing but not overwhelmed. Parking here is relatively convenient, a plus in this busy part of Compton.

One small drawback noted is restroom upkeep, which doesn’t stand out as a highlight, but otherwise, Phat Noodles offers a down-to-earth spot for anyone craving authentic, hearty Asian noodle dishes without fuss. It's especially good for folks who appreciate a bowl of pho or dry noodles with fresh sprouts, chili paste, and warming broths made from beef or chicken bones.

This is a small pho restaurant in Compton. I ordered a number 8 which was the shrimp pho. It was good. I also ordered a side of spicy edamame. They were okay. I wouldn't order them again if I'm being honest. I tried their coconut Thai iced tea. First time trying it with coconut and it was so good! The host was polite, patient and attentive. She checked on me a couple of times after getting my food to make sure I had everything I needed and to make sure I was enjoying everything. She greeted me coming in and made sure she said goodbye as well. I appreciated that. They had this really cool shirt up on the wall that read, "Don't pho get the Sriracha" and I thought it was so cute so I asked if they sold the shirts and the lady politely said no but that they are working on getting merch.

What a delicious treat! Great polite service and authentic flavor. Today I tried the shrimp pho and spicy wontons as previous reviewer had recommended. Both dishes were absolutely divine. Nom nom nom. I’m still eating some in my car :-) The pho had a very distinguished slightly sweet, yet very rich and savory with some undeniable depth to it. The spicy wontons….BOOM. Sinuses cleaned, check. What a pleasant experience those wontons are!!! Handmade, fresh seafood and big satisfying chunks of it await inside of handmade, homemade, PHAT wonton noodles. Did you like how I slipped that in there!? ;-) Hope you enjoy this treat as much as I did!
